There Must Be Accountability for U.S. Drone Strikes

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, heralded as the leading authority for drone-strike casualty numbers by the recent report entitled Living Under Drones by Stanford and NYU researchers, reports 178 children have died in Yemen and Pakistan as a result of U.S. drone strikes. War Costs has produced a video and report on the topic.

Please consider joining us in our appeal to leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives to reintroduce H. Res. 819,  which calls for more accountability and transparency for U.S. Drone policy.

Speaker Boehner and Minority Leader Pelosi,

H. Res. 819 calls for the release of the legal justification of U.S. drone strikes that have killed civilians in targeted areas, as numerous reports have detailed.

Please reintroduce this bill to the House floor this month, as too much of U.S. government's drone policy is kept secret from Congress and the American people.

The idea might be good but the implementation is totally counter-productive. This is the way to create more anti-US sentiment and terrorists, creating more problems than it solves. And killing innocent children is never excusable!

Imagine if Pakistani drones had killed 178 American children here. We would be at war with them by now and thousands more would have died. The restraint on the part of Pakistan is remarkable to say the least. This madness has to stop!

This is illegal, unethical, immoral and totally against what a so-called democratic state should be doing.

Why are we continuing? Killing innocent children is not acceptable – we are only creating more enemies.

Please bring Kucinich’s bill to the House floor for debate.

This is not ethical OR legal by International Law. The way to stop terrorism certainly isn’t through the use of more terrorism.

these weapons are weapons from hell and we should abolish all wars and the constant killing that this world has done almost form the beginning of this earth. In the old days we used rocks and sticks and now we are updating our love of violence. There is a good chance that we will eventually destroy the planet itself.Humans are not very evolved!!!
