There Must Be Accountability for U.S. Drone Strikes

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, heralded as the leading authority for drone-strike casualty numbers by the recent report entitled Living Under Drones by Stanford and NYU researchers, reports 178 children have died in Yemen and Pakistan as a result of U.S. drone strikes. War Costs has produced a video and report on the topic.

Please consider joining us in our appeal to leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives to reintroduce H. Res. 819,  which calls for more accountability and transparency for U.S. Drone policy.

Speaker Boehner and Minority Leader Pelosi,

H. Res. 819 calls for the release of the legal justification of U.S. drone strikes that have killed civilians in targeted areas, as numerous reports have detailed.

Please reintroduce this bill to the House floor this month, as too much of U.S. government's drone policy is kept secret from Congress and the American people.

ALL children are OUR children. We ALL live on this planet together. One more child’d death, whether it’s in the U.S. or in Pakistan, or anywhere in this world, is one too many!

Drones are an insidious means of conducting both warfare and surveillance. In the interest of human dignity, privacy, and a more peaceful world, they should be phased out entirely before a combination of global anarchy and a totalitarian police state ensues. Thank you.

Stop using drones. Civilians ARE killed, and many more that nominee Brennan will admit. He is lying.

Unbelievable that these strikes are still going on and that now the White House has a green light to KILL AMERICAN CITIZENS, WITH OR WITHOUT DRONESWITH NO TRIAL OR JUDICIAL RIGHTS!

I’m certainly hoping that sufficient numbers of Americans realize what is being done ‘in our name’ and organize to STOP THESE ATROCITIES!

Thank you for considering my comments.

Drone strikes make us less, not more, safe because

they kill innocent people and turn whole regions

    against us.
